Who We Are
EmailCloud is an independent email marketing resource hub. We build free tools, write honest reviews, and create expert guides — all designed to help businesses and creators get better results from email marketing.
Our team has been working in email marketing since the late 1990s, back when "deliverability" was just called "hoping the email arrived." We have watched the industry evolve from basic newsletter blasts to the sophisticated, data-driven discipline it is today. That depth of experience informs everything we publish.
We have collectively managed campaigns for SaaS companies, ecommerce brands, media publishers, and nonprofits. We have migrated lists between every major ESP, debugged authentication failures at 3 AM, and A/B tested more subject lines than we can count. EmailCloud exists because we kept answering the same questions for clients and colleagues and eventually decided to put the answers somewhere everyone could find them.
What We Do
We focus on three things:
- Free tools — Subject line graders, spam checkers, deliverability audits, ROI calculators, and more. All run in your browser, all free, no signup required. We believe the best way to help email marketers is to put useful tools directly in their hands. We currently maintain 21 free tools and we are always building more.
- Honest reviews — We test every platform we review with real accounts, real campaigns, and real money. Nobody pays for higher rankings. Our recommendations are based on features, pricing, deliverability, and actual user experience. We currently cover 35+ email marketing platforms with in-depth, independently researched reviews.
- Expert guides — From building your first email list to advanced automation strategies, our guides are written by practitioners, not content mills. Every recommendation comes from real-world experience.
30 Years in Email
EmailCloud is not a newcomer to the email space. The emailcloud.com domain has been part of the email industry since the mid-2000s, when it operated as an enterprise email security and spam filtering service — protecting business inboxes from the flood of spam that was consuming over 90% of all email traffic at the time. We were building spam filters before most of today's email marketing platforms even existed.
Our roots go back even further. Members of our team have been working in email since the 1990s — we were there when Hotmail launched and gave everyone free email, when the CAN-SPAM Act tried (and largely failed) to stop spam, when Gmail's 1GB inbox changed everything, and when GDPR rewrote the rules of email marketing overnight. We have lived through every major shift in the email industry, and we have documented over 100 of them in our email history timeline.
That three-decade perspective is what sets EmailCloud apart. We do not just review tools or write guides — we understand the full arc of email as a technology, a marketing channel, and a business. When we recommend a platform or explain a deliverability concept, it comes from people who were configuring MX records and fighting spam before "email marketing" was even a job title.
Today, EmailCloud has evolved from an email security service into the independent resource hub it is now. The mission is the same as it always was: help people get better results from email. We have just expanded our definition of what that means — from blocking spam to building the tools, reviews, and guides that help email marketers succeed.
We have also seen the industry get cluttered with pay-to-play review sites, gated "free" tools that harvest your data, and generic advice written by people who have never actually sent a marketing campaign. That frustration is what drives EmailCloud today.
Every tool we build is genuinely free — no signup, no email capture, no credit card. Every review reflects real testing. Every guide contains advice we have used ourselves. We are not trying to be the biggest email marketing site on the internet. We are trying to be the most useful.

This affiliate model lets us keep every tool free and every review independent. We never accept payment for higher ratings, and our editorial team operates independently from our business team. If a product is mediocre, we say so — even if they offer generous commissions.
